The “Keep Your Head Up” is Road Safety Campaign targeted to the motorcycle loving communities in the regions.

[Yangon, Myanmar, 31st January 2021] - AIA Myanmar is excited to welcome its two new branches in Myanmar. The first new regional office will reside in Mandalay, known as the economic hub of northern Myanmar and the last royal capital of Burma. The second regional office will be placed in Taunggyi, the capital of Myanmar the largest city of Shan State. These expansions are a natural step in AIA Myanmar’s promise to help the people of Myanmar enjoy healthier, longer & better lives, together. This idea is further emphasized with the launch of the new road safety awareness campaign “Keep Your Head Up”.

The “Keep Your Head Up” campaign is a unique approach to highlight the importance of road safety as well as to show appreciation and understanding of the local traditions of Burmese culture. AIA Myanmar hopes to bring protection for the people in Mandalay and Taunggyi with the campaign “Keep Your Head Up”, representing optimism and looking forward to the better future ahead with a sense of road safety message.

The first phase of the campaign is set to launch on 31st of the January with a set of unique AIA motorbike helmets styled and designed by local artists, created solely for the campaign. In this phase, AIA Myanmar is also collaborating with the well-known motorbike touring duo “Motourlogue”, famous for their adventures on two wheels around the world who aim to explore, discover, and share the less-known sites and hope to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and follow their passion. AIA Myanmar and Motourlogue will collaborate to create an educational video to show the importance of safety, and how it should always be a priority no matter where the road takes you.

The exciting new expansion comes on the heels of the first anniversary of AIA’s entry to Myanmar as a wholly owned subsidiary after receiving the official government license in November 2019. The new branches in Mandalay and Taunggyi will provide more potential members easier access to AIA’s innovative coverage choices and health services across Myanmar.

“AIA Myanmar is proud to announce these expansions across the nation and see it as a key step in our promise to ensure people enjoy Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.  The launch of our creative campaign “Keep Your Head Up” really helps show our unique approach to these issues. With this campaign, we want to emphasize on the importance of safety and protection whether it is on the road or throughout your own life journey. I firmly believe that this expansion will help give some peace of mind to the people living in these regions, providing them with better access to AIA wide selection of products and services. Mandalay and Taunggyi made great selections for this expansion because they are located in central mainland and both are major attractive cities with deep traditional culture alongside some of the country’s most famous festivals.” said Luc Ly, CEO of AIA Myanmar.

Following the launch day, the AIA Myanmar team will be sharing a collection of commissioned photos taken by 3 local street photographers on AIA’s social media. The goal was to interpret idea behind the road safety campaign “Keep Your Head Up” and what it means to them and their communities.
