What are the charges to be paid?

  • Upon discharge from the hospital, member is solely responsible for settling with the Panel Hospital any payment for LOG shortfalls, uncovered item costs, and/or any amount exceeding benefit coverage limit
  • Additional service charges apply for treatment at any location apart from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Please contact AIA SHER for details on charges.
  • Hospitals in some locations may collect a deposit from the member prior to hospital admission, even when Letter of Guarantee (LOG) has been issued. This deposit is generally meant to pay for uncovered or unplanned expenses, if any. Member would be responsible for paying this deposit amount to the hospital.

By utilizing the Regional Health Passport (RHP) services (the "Service”), you shall be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions”):

  1. The Service will only be available for life assured members of One Health Solution (both Individual and Group) policies (“Eligible Members”) and will only be available at panel hospitals and clinics which are included in our panel list (the “Panel Hospitals”). If you are an Eligible Member desirous of procuring the Service, please be advised to first check on whether your preferred hospital, clinic or specialist is included in our panel list.

  2. The Service is facilitated by AIA Shared Services Sdn. Bhd. (the “Partner”) in collaboration with its Panel Hospitals.The provision of the Service shall be the sole responsibility of the Partner and may (in whole or in part) be subject to the relevant terms, conditions and policies of the Partner.

  3. AIA Myanmar makes no warranty (expressed or implied) as to the availability and/or quality of the Service. We will employ our best effort to support you in availing of the Service for you to have the best possible experience. However, we will not be liable for any dispute or claims arising out of or in connection to the provision of the Service by the Partner.

  4. The Service contemplated herein is a complementary service and is not part of any AIA Myanmar policy contractual benefits. We may, at our sole discretion, discontinue this Service or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

  5. Any personal data or information disclosed by you to us (or to the Partner) in connection with the Service may be collected, stored, processed and utilized by us (and the Partner) in accordance with AIA’s Data Privacy Policy, and you shall be deemed to have consented to the same. Please note that AIA Myanmar reserves the right to request any further information from time to time as it deems necessary.

  6. The Service will only be available for pre-scheduled appointments and elective treatments at the Panel Hospitals and will not be available for emergency admissions and procedures. Please be advised to inform AIA Myanmar’s SHER Team (“SHER”) at +959 944705440 or sher@aia.com at least seven (7) working days prior to your preferred treatment date at the Panel Hospitals located in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia or Hong Kong. If you wish to get treatment at Panel Hospitals located in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, U.S.A, Canada or mainland China, please inform SHER at least fourteen (14) working days prior to your preferred treatment date. Failure to do so may impact your ability to procure the Service with the Partner.

  7. Specialist Out-Patient Appointment Scheduling Services at the Panel Hospitals can be arranged as part of the Service; but only for Panel Hospitals located in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. If you have already arranged an appointment independently with your doctor, please provide us with the appointment confirmation letter for us to arrange the Service for you.

  8. Once a customer has submitted the necessary documents and information together with the signed Pre-Authorization Form 1 (PAF-1), AIA Myanmar’s Claims Team shall assess the submission and revert back to you on whether you are eligible to obtain the Service.

  9. No additional service charges shall apply for Eligible Members seeking treatment at Panel Hospitals located in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia or Hong Kong. However, additional service charges may apply for Eligible Members seeking treatment at Panel Hospitals located in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, U.S.A, Canada or mainland China. Such additional charges may be deducted from the amount of your benefit coverage under your policy. Please contact AIA Myanmar for details on the charges.

  10. Please note that the Letter of Guarantee (LOG) will not be applicable for travel or accommodation arrangements, uncovered items, treatments and/or services excluded as per the Exclusion Clause of the relevant One Health Solution (Group or Individual) policy.

  11. You shall be solely responsible to settle with the Panel Hospital any LOG shortfalls, uncovered item costs, and/or any amount exceeding your benefit coverage limit.

  12. Any decision of AIA Myanmar with regards to the Service (including but not limited to eligibility for or applicability of the Service) or these Terms and Conditions shall be final and shall not be subject to appeal.
